Nikki’s Search For Freedom: Creating an Internet Marketing Business

Hey everyone,

As it says in the title, I’m looking for a graphic designer to create a couple of images / logos for me. Most of you that know of me will know that I am the self-proclaimed Purple Minxy Witch, and so I’d like to have a couple of images / logos that I can use that reflect that so that I can use them on my sites, my books, and any other promotional material that I may fancy.

As an example of the sort of image / logo that I’m after, I found this:

It’s a question I probably should ask in many different areas of my life.

However, in this instance, I want to talk about communication, and specifically that of the emailing-your-list variety.

If you have a list, how often do you email them? Is it just me that gets fed up with emails every day from the same people trying to sell things to me? Even if, in some cases, it’s a freebie that they’re offering - is it *really* relevant to me and my life? Or am I just being sent things as an attempt at building the list, or adswapping, or selling me some sort of affiliate product?

So here we are, at the end of another year. Am I older? Yes. Am I
any wiser? Highly unlikely.

At the moment, I am all gross and full of cold. I look like the living dead, and sound pretty zombified as well - far too much coughing and spluttering for my liking, and as for my nose, well, my entire face looks like it’s exploded. How’s that for a mental image? Not normally what you get from me, admittedly.

Wow. Today has been a steep learning curve for me, but hey, I got
there in the end! Admittedly I did have to shout for help, but then
that’s one of the benefits of building good relationships with experts
- it means I can go picking their brains!

So, what have I been doing? I’ve been preparing the launch of my book Social Networking Sites Explained.

I’ve fought with Aweber and Filezilla, and managed to get there in the end (Aweber was doing strange things with formatting, and Filezilla refused to connect to the server).

I’m back in the UK, sitting on my sofa with a cup of tea & some toast with peanut butter (yes, I know, I’m so English!).

I slept for about 18 hours straight when I got back home, but then I was up for about 34 hours prior to that - so I guess it figures really. It’s strange, I woke up in Las Vegas but went to sleep back in the UK. It’s amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it really.

Some of you may have noticed that my home page has updated, as has the sidebar of this blog. This is because I have big news!

So, what do you think? The Lair of Temptation has received a bit of a makeover. Oh, ok, it’s been completely stripped bare & rebuilt - but as most of that is behind the scenes, it isn’t obvious to the viewer.

This now means it is LOADS more functional than my old theme, so I can get it to do exactly as I want. An ongoing theme in my life!

However…(and yes, this happens in real life too), there is a rebellion going on, and I need to find the ringleader of this rebellion and torture them (or deny them their torture; whatever will cause the most pain).

Ok, so some of you have noticed that it’s all been rather quiet here lately.  Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean that I’m neglecting my blog duties, it just means that there are big changes afoot and behind the scenes I’ve got my accomplices working double time…I did contemplate threatening them with my whip, but felt that they would enjoy it all far too much, get distracted, and then not get on with the job in hand.
