What does your Perfect Day look like?

Or your perfect week?  Month?  Year?

As part of the Inner Circle mentoring group that I’m currently in, I was asked to describe my ideal day.

I don’t know about you, but I found bits of this easy (“No alarm clocks!”) and bits of this hard (“but…what will I do without being restricted by someone else’s structure & rules?  What if I run amok?!”)

(As a side note, I’m writing this while still employed, hence the reference to the structure & rules of another.  Workplaces are entirely within their rights to have structure and rules!)

The Return of the Purple Minxy Witch!

I'm back Purple Minxy WitchWell, when I say return, it isn’t that I’ve actually gone anywhere; more that I just haven’t been blogging over here for a while.

What have I been doing you may ask?

Well, I’ve been busy working on my new website www.OrganisedGoddess.com where I share tips & tricks to help you live a happier, more organised life.  Plus I’ve created various free downloads over there, and my first ecourse!  So that’s been keeping me rather occupied.

However, this won’t do, as I’m still learning about and creating my online business, and that was the purpose of this blog – to share my journey with you.

Do you love LIVE events?

I have a confession of sorts.

It’s been a while since I’ve attended any kind of live internet marketing event.  In fact, the last one I appeared at was a couple of years ago, in Bristol (where I live at the moment).  I went to catch up with one of my friends there, and ended up staying in the bar till about 6am!  (I was drinking tea rather than alcohol as I was driving.)

Anyway, I digress.  What was I talking about?

Oh yes.

Is your smartphone killing your productivity?

This blog post idea came to me a couple of days ago, as I realised I’d wasted over an hour sitting on the sofa trawling through Facebook & checking my emails on my phone.

I think I’ve been trying to hide my need to stay connected, but that isn’t helping with my productivity in the slightest.

Basically, I’m not getting anything done, and I think one of my biggest problems is that I like to distract myself all the time.

Ooh, what’s that, time for a cup of tea?  <——- see what I mean?!

Happy New Year!

I hope that you have a fantastic 2013!

May it bring you everything that you need to make it your most successful year yet!

What are your plans for 2013?  Please share them with me in the comments below.

Oh, and look out for a special announcement from me in the next couple of days – I’m in the process of reviewing a new video marketing product and so I’ll be releasing some tasty little snippets before the full launch in a couple of weeks.

Stop your sites from being hacked!

Don’t think that you’re too small to be hacked, or that it won’t affect you!

A while ago, a couple of my friends had their main blog sites hacked quite badly, and so from that, we all installed a couple of plugins that would notify us of any interference.  But there wasn’t an easy solution.

Then a few weeks afterwards, I got automated emails from those plugins telling me that some of my WordPress files had been changed, and that it had stopped some executable hacks being uploaded.

How to become an Amazon Associate affiliate

As part of the 90 Day Affiliate Challenge, we’ve moved on to looking at Amazon as a source for products to promote, particularly given the time of year (note to self; next year, have Christmas-related affiliate sites in place before this point!).

So that meant I needed to sign up to become an affiliate for Amazon.

I recorded a short video showing you how to set up an Amazon Associates account, so you can watch that here:

Update on the 90 Day Affiliate Challenge

We’re now something like 18 days into the official challenge, though I started a couple of days late.

At the moment we’re concentrating on Clickbank for the first affiliate site (yes, I did say ‘first’ – there will be more than one!). So our instructions from Jason were to have a look on Clickbank for popular products in a non-internet marketing niche.

Then came the longwinded and fairly boring task of keyword research. I am aware that there are various tools out there to make that a lot easier, but if you remember the rules of this challenge (link to my previous post), we’re starting without much money. So we’re doing it the free but somewhat longer way.

Time for a challenge…a 90 day challenge…

Fancy a challenge?

How about one to get you earning $100 a day by the end of it?

Jason E Johns is just starting a 90 day challenge, so I thought I’d take a look.

The Challenge – To Make $100 A Day Consistently At The End Of 90 Days

Start Date – Wednesday 16th October 2012**

End Date – Monday 14th January 2013

**Yes, I am aware I’m a day late in posting this, but I’m sure I can cope with being a day behind!

A Revelation – of sorts…

I was minding my own business when this blog post from Jeannie Spiro appeared (and now I can’t remember where it was; maybe a recommendation on Facebook).

It got me thinking.

You see, I was always of the opinion that I was going to work online, and that would be my sole income. It would eventually replace my full-time job (or rather, replace and at least double my current employed salary).

But the day job and life in general tends to get in the way of plans (was it John Lennon that said “life is what happens when you’re busy making plans”)?
